LLC LDZ CARGO is a subsidiary of SJSC "Latvijas dzelzceļš", which transports domestic and international rail freight, provides traction services, freight wagon rental services and other services related to freight transport.
LDZ CARGO, established in 2005, is the largest transit and transport sector company in Latvia and a major rail freight carrier on the European scale.
Using containers and wagons, LDZ CARGO carries a wide range of freight including oil, coal, metals, timber, food products, mineral fertilizers, chemicals and other freight. Transportation of domestic freight and its development is a significant part of LDZ CARGO’s operations.
The company operates in both the SMGS (Agreement on International Goods Transport by Rail) and CIM (International Convention concerning the Carriage of Goods by Railway) legal environments, transporting freight along all major East-West and North-South corridors.
In January 2023, LLC LDZ CARGO launched freign transportation operations in Estonian territory and on June 2023 opened a LDZ CARGO branch in this neighbor.
